This online training module is a prerequisite to the in-person hands-on training required for personal fall arrest (FA) equipment users. This online training module defines roles and responsibilities of persons who provide assistance, assign and use FA equipment. Prior to using FA equipment, you must complete hands-on training with a fall protection competent person. The hands-on portion of the training will focus on how to recognize possible fall hazards, how to reduce or eliminate fall hazards, how to don, doff, and inspect FA equipment. Remember, you are not authorized to wear personal fall arrest equipment until you have completed the in-person hands-on portion of the training!
