Open Burn / Open Flame Request
Open burn and open flame device use and operation in any University facility or on University property must be operated and managed in accordance with University policy SEC-032: Open Burn and Open Flame Operations at the University of Virginia.
A request must be made to Environmental Health & Safety for the purpose of an open burn and open flame device use and operation.
All submitted requests will be reviewed by Environmental Health & Safety.
Each request will be either approved (allowed to proceed as specified on the form) or not approved (not allowed to proceed).
All request determinations (both approved and not approved) will be transmitted to the University Police Department.
